The beauty of therapy is that it can look different for everyone - here is a little bit about what I value in my own approach:

I value your whole personhood and want to honor that by creating a safe space for you to show up authentically. Which is why the importance of the therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of how I practice. Our connection is integral to this process and it is pivotal for you to feel seen and validated in this work, without judgement.

Even more important is the truth that you and only you are the expert of your story. I serve as a compassionate and empathetic support to help you unravel the stories and experiences that may be causing pain or impacting your healing. This often looks like embracing the awkward silence (it will happen and it’s ok!), getting curious by asking questions and leaning into discomfort that may arise. It also looks like celebrating the joys of life and relishing in the goodness when it comes.

SOMATIC THERAPY

I utilize a holistic lens and view the mind-body-spirit connection as an integral part to healing. I believe our bodies and minds are deeply interconnected and may incorporate somatic practices to allow us to fully tap into your experience and feelings as well as learn to regulate your nervous system.

PSYCHODYNAMIC THERAPY

I also incorporate philosophies from a psychodynamic lens - the understanding that experiences (including trauma) from the past may be influencing how you are showing up in the present. Often this work looks like exploring these experiences, building awareness and processing the thoughts and feeling related to these.

Ultimately, this work is a collaborative effort and I want you to know that I truly believe that you can experience healing and wholeness together.
